At our annual conference, the Middle East Retail Forum 2017, Raza Beig, CEO of Splash, Iconic & Landmark International & fashion director – Landmark Group spoke about fast fashion brand Splash’s conscious core.
“The world is changing very fast, so also customer expectations. If we don’t work on these expectations, we will cease to be relevant. Technology has made information available at fingertips. Today we are much more aware of carbon footprints increasing at an alarming rate. If I had known about developing a sustainable range of clothing 25 years ago, I’d have worked on it. But the knowledge was not so readily available back then, and we weren’t aware of how we might be adding to the carbon footprint. It shocked me when I understood the implications and the perils of adding to the carbon footprint. And we consciously decided to launch a sustainable range.”
