Skechers gesture for healthcare front-liners

American footwear brand Skechers gifted more than 750 pairs of shoes to the healthcare workers of Mafraq and Al Rahba Hospital, Abu Dhabi on the frontlines of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

Skechers is represented in the region by UAE-based Apparel Group. “As a pioneer in casual footwear makers, the brand’s goal has always been to keep people comfortable in their shoes. Now, in the face of adversity, some specific individuals need that comfort now more than ever. They are undoubtedly the healthcare workers, who relentlessly serve humanity through the toughest of times. Healthcare workers have our most profound respect, and we are humbled to be able to show them some love during this unprecedented time,” said a spokesperson for Apparel Group.

Skechers gifted shoes with lightweight, responsive ULTRA GO cushioning and high-rebound COMFORT PILLAR TECHNOLOGY. These shoes are soft engineered knit mesh fabric upper, Air Cooled Goga Mat insole system for ultimate comfort, which is an advantage for the healthcare workers as it is easy on the feet & keeps them feeling energetic through their long shifts.

Along with its diverse footwear offering, Skechers head-to-toe collections for men, women and kids include a growing range of apparel and accessories. With international business representing more than half of its total sales, Skechers has product available in more than 170 countries and significant opportunities for continued expansion worldwide. The company sells its collections through third-party wholesale partners and directly to consumers via more than 3,550 Skechers retail stores and e-commerce platforms.
