Dutch based lifestyle and fashion brand Scotch & Soda recently launched their new e-commerce platforms across the GCC through their partnership with Middle East retailers & distributors Beside Group. The Amsterdam based brand offering upscale-casual apparel & accessories for women, men & children have expanded their digital presence by launching websites for UAE and KSA customers, making it easier than ever for Middle East customers to get their hands on their clothing! There are three brick-and-mortar stores of the brand in the UAE – The Dubai Mall, Marina Mall in Dubai, Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi, and seven across Saudi Arabia.

Middle Eastern consumers are increasingly savvy, and the region is grappling with shifting economic currents and the rise of digital. However, spending in some GCC countries remains among the highest globally, thus, creating significant opportunities for fashion players such as Scotch & Soda. Beside Group, has become the go-to partner for international fashion brands due to its full 360 approach across retail and distribution sectors. Scotch & Soda and Beside Group began their partnership back in 2014, and is a key player in our portfolio, said Hisham Bedier, Managing Director of Beside Group

Since opening the first Scotch & Soda store in Saudi Arabia in 2014, the brand has had a growth plan to work towards. Resulting in an expansion across 6 markets in the region and by early 2022 will have successfully opened 19 mono brand stores regionally. “Additionally, we recently marked a new chapter for the strategic relationship between Beside Group and Scotch & Soda with the launch of e-commerce websites in both UAE and KSA, making it easier than ever for Scotch & Soda Middle Eastern customers to shop their latest collections. “It’s our long term view that sets the tone on our partnership with Scotch & Soda. Our goal is to help nurture and grow with the brand through each milestone. We are excited to be at the forefront of its next chapter within the digital sphere, here in the Middle East, and we strive to continue expanding together”, said Tarek Barakat, Marketing and E-commerce Director

Expanding the brand’s e-commerce footprint to the GCC opens up an extra gateway to meet growing customer demands for the latest collection drops, starting with the Winter 2021 collection. Inspired by aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart, the Scotch & Soda Winter 2021 collection celebrates an icon who pushed boundaries in all senses in her life and style. Amelia’s fearlessness and modern spirit are mirrored in bold designs which embody the brand’s signature play on the expected and unexpected, bringing to life the trailblazing aviator’s famous motto: “no borders, just horizons, only freedom”. The new platform was developed by Khaleej Digital, a digital advisory company who specialise in implementing e-commerce strategies.

Born in Amsterdam, Scotch & Soda celebrates the free spirit of its birth city. Endlessly optimistic, the brand champions individuality, authenticity and the power of self-expression to create the unique – an attitude reflected in its designs. Their collections include menswear, womenswear, kidswear, denim, eyewear, fragrances and accessories, occupying a unique space in today’s global fashion landscape.

Customers in the Middle East will be able to shop the latest styles and collections from their website http://ae.scotch-soda.com/ and http://sa.scotch-soda.com/ platforms in dual languages besides the stores. Their collections can be found globally in Scotch & Soda’s freestanding stores across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Australia. By the end of 2021, the brand will have a portfolio of 249 stores around the world. Additionally, their collections are available in 7,000 doors in some of the world’s biggest cities, including New York, London and Paris and Dubai with the brand’s online operations to ship to over 70 countries.
