KSA to have DokkanAfkar.com soon

Saudi Arabia’s first of its kind e-commerce site DokkanAfkar.com, which will retail a wide variety of home, kitchen and fashion products, is all set to go live. The website to be launched in both English and Arabic will provide quick shipping service (product dispatch within two days) and convenient payment options through credit cards and local Saudi banks. It will also have local customer service centres.

“With consumers becoming increasingly technology-savvy, they are taking to online shopping. And Saudi Arabia is no different; we see our local consumers buying from international websites. In order to tap into this growing business, we wanted to set up a trustworthy e-commerce website in the Kingdom,” says Ammar Waganah, CEO of DokkanAfkar.com.

“The project will be divided into three phases. We will begin by outsourcing creative products from different suppliers in Europe and the US and also invite Saudi businesses to market innovative products to be sold on the website. Then we will create incubators communities as support programmes to catalyse development of entrepreneurial companies. Finally, we will feature talk show videos and articles about the latest, unique products on the website,” he explains.
