UK-based Superdrug is set to launch international shipping services for its e-commerce platform, with Ireland being the first country set to benefit from the service. This is the first time for Superdrug to offer shipping services outside of the UK.
Starting next week customers in Ireland will be able to shop online at Superdrug.com, placing orders to be delivered directly to their preferred destination – it could be home or one of five Superdrug stores in the country.
This is the next big move in its Customer 360 multichannel strategy, asserts Superdrug, following last year’s investment into a new e-commerce platform and logistics network.
“While we’ve been serving customers in Ireland through our stores for years, we’ve never had the ability to offer delivery or an order-and-collect service. This move will help us to offer even more customers the best deals and the latest health and beauty products,” says Superdrug marketing director Matt Walburn.
“We opened our first store in Ireland almost a decade ago and we are delighted that this is the first place we’re going to launch international delivery.”
