Tim Hortons opens revamped cafe in The Dubai Mall

Canadian cafe brand Tim Hortons – part of Dubai-based retail conglomerate Apparel Group – recently reopened its newly renovated flagship location at The Dubai Mall. The Tim Hortons cafe is located on the lower ground floor, overlooking the iconic Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains.

The new design promises to attract new and existing Tim Hortons customers with a modernised experience and a welcoming interior design concept. The vision is to foster a sense of community and comfort, to quickly become a “home away from home” for visitors of all ages and nationalities.

Taking Tim Hortons to new heights, the open-concept seating plan features communal seating, high-top tables punctuated by cherry red bar stools, plenty of wood accents and metallic light fixtures. Families, youngsters, residents and travellers will enjoy a contemporary space, freshly redesigned with an emphasis on natural looking, lighter and inviting materials such as glass, wood and dark metal. The space is decorated with artwork that reflects Tim Hortons’ unique values and history, including illustrations of Tim Hortons’ coffee expertise and the coffee bean sourcing process.

This reopening marks the next step of the dynamic Tim Hortons expansion plan and is one of the first stores to be redesigned in the UAE to reflect a younger, welcoming and cooler attitude and store ambiance.

“The new image we are revealing at the Dubai Mall is an integral part of Tim Hortons commitment to continually improve the in-store experience of its guests, through a more contemporary Coffee Shop environment. When paired with premium quality coffee and food, an enhanced menu and new creative ways to connect with guests, we feel we have a recipe for ongoing success in the UAE. We are proud of the new-look Dubai Mall flagship and excited to see the reception from our loyal and first-time guests,” says Apparel Group chairman, Nilesh Ved.

Tim Hortons has been one of the GCC’s popular coffee concepts, since the opening of its first store on the Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai in 2011. It currently operates 126 outlets across the GCC, with Mall of the Emirates representing the latest addition to the UAE family.
