Sharjah City Centre focuses on tourism-driven shopping

UAE-based shopping centre Sharjah City Centre is focusing on tourism initiatives to support the increasing numbers of visitors to the UAE. The mall has partnered with key hotels in its vicinity to offer a network of complimentary shuttle buses to and from the mall, and has also come out with multilingual mall guides in English and Arabic (and soon in Russian) to accommodate visitors from different regions.

The mall has already welcomed over 7,000 tourists on its shuttle bus, providing them a value-added and convenient service. As an added incentive, exclusive mall specials are being introduced for tourists staying and using the shuttle at participating hotels, allowing them the opportunity to shop and dine at international fashion and dining brands within the mall.

“The new shuttle bus and tourism initiatives complement Sharjah City Centre’s commitment to foster tourism and growth within the emirate and the country,” says Abdulhamid Bukhashem, senior manager, Sharjah City Centre. “The mall is a conveniently-located destination for tourists to purchase souvenirs, personal items or to discover the emirate’s major retail destinations. We will continue to focus our efforts on tourism initiatives and expand our reach to this important audience throughout the year.”
