Dubai-based real estate developer and retail and leisure operator Majid Al Futtaim’s flagship luxury destination Mall of the Emirates has opened four new luxury fashion boutiques.

As part of the mall’s phased redevelopment on Level 1, Mall of the Emirates has welcomed Saint Laurent, Marni, Jimmy Choo and Alexander McQueen boutiques to the modern and stylish fashion avenue. Phase two of the store openings, scheduled for next month, will add another five brands to the area including Etro, Marc Jacobs, Polo Ralph Lauren, Brunello Cucinelli and MCM.

“We are thrilled to introduce the enhanced luxury precinct on Level 1, which has created another renewed fashion destination and incredible focal point for new premium brands at Mall of the Emirates. This contemporary area compliments the recent Evolution 2015 expansion and provides the perfect location to house such prestige fashion labels. With larger store fronts and elegant architecture, the contemporary avenue is the perfect backdrop to introduce international brand concepts to our shoppers,” says Hussain Moosa, associate director, Mall of the Emirates.

“As with all our mall activities be it structural enhancements, store openings, events or promotions our vision of creating great moments for everyone, everyday steers the way to ensure we deliver the best shopping experience for our visitors,” he adds.

The newly opened flagship Saint Laurent store concept is ‘a physical embodiment of the brand’s realigned visual identity’. The boutique emphasises on rich, noble materials, generous proportions and architectural clarity. The simplicity bestows an air of serene, contemporary luxury and with 1930’s art deco elements the store resembles an art gallery space with its signature avant-garde style. The Saint Laurent flagship houses the widest assortment on men’s and women’s merchandise in the region.

The new boutique by sought-after British luxury brand, Alexander McQueen is the first in the UAE to feature the brand’s new retail design concept conceived by Sarah Burton, creative director at Alexander McQueen. Divided into three main areas – handbags and shoes; men’s ready-to-wear and accessories; and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories – customers will be able to shop from the seasonal collections as well as classic items such as the iconic skull scarves and knuckle box clutches.

The beautiful Jimmy Choo store has now reopened on Level 1 – the first one in the Middle East to house both the men’s and women’s collections. The newly renovated store brings the Mall of Emirates boutique up to date and continues the global unveiling of the new Jimmy Choo store concept designed in partnership with David Collins Studio, which features a complete collection of men’s and women’s shoes, handbags, small leather goods, sunglasses, eyewear and fragrances.

Marni, the Italian fashion brand founded by Consuelo Castiglioni in 1994 completes the first phase of the precinct’s new offerings. Known for its quirky, feminine and elegant aesthetic, Marni’s new boutique features the new store concept initially launched with the Marni Montenapoleone flagship store in Milan, bringing together diverse geometries in a harmonious mix of forms, materials and moods that embody the brand’s aesthetic language. The boutique will offer a comprehensive selection of Marni’s seasonal ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear and handbag collections for women.
