UAE-based Carrefour has opened a new store at the world’s busiest international airport, DXB . Located in the arrivals area of DXB’s Terminal 3, the 24-hour store was inaugurated on 4th May.
“As a brand famous for welcoming the people of the UAE at its stores for the last 25 years, we are thrilled to be greeting travelers as they arrive at DXB. The new Carrefour store in Terminal 3 will offer a superior range of quality products to serve international jet-setters and residents waiting to welcome their loved ones home,” said Bernardo Perloiro, Chief Operating Officer of Carrefour at Majid Al Futtaim Retail.
The 436 square-meter Carrefour store will offer over 3,000 items including delicious snacks, hot beverages, and everything one could possibly need to recover after a long flight. There will be a dedicated area for food-to-go, with ready-to-eat delicacies such as salads, sushi and sandwiches made fresh each day as well as a dining section for those looking to sit down and relax.
“As the primary gateway to Dubai, Terminal 3 arrivals at DXB is an incredibly important part of our airport, and for many of our guests, it is their first taste of Dubai and the UAE. When we were redesigning the arrivals area, we carefully selected service and hospitality partners who shared this vision. We are delighted to work alongside Majid Al Futtaim, and to welcome Carrefour to the DXB family. At Dubai Airports, we are heavily focused on responding to travellers’ needs through meaningful products and services, and we look forward to this new concept appealing to both inbound visitors and returning residents alike,” said Eugene Barry, Dubai Airports’ Executive Vice President – Commercial.
Responding to Dubai International’s advanced digital efficiencies, Carrefour is equipping the new store with the very latest technology such as self-checkout, Electronic Shelf Labels, Smart checkout, and Mobile Scan&Go to enhance traffic flow. This will offer an unmatched customer experience for travelers, providing a warm, Dubai welcome as they arrive at Terminal 3.
