M&S Gulf customers can now shop online

British retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) and its long-standing franchise partner Al-Futtaim have launched the brand’s online store in the Gulf today.

While customers in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait will be able to shop online via www.marksandspencerme.com from today, those in Lebanon and Egypt will have access to the new website starting next month.

The new website offers customers in the region the chance to have their favourite M&S products delivered direct to their door. With a flagship store offer of 6,000 clothing, home and lifestyle products the new website will give customers access to more choice and better availability including more sizes, styles and colours.

The website also offers a ‘click & reserve in-store’ service – where customers can collect online orders within 60 minutes of making their reservation at M&S’s 25 stores in the region. Further, in Dubai, M&S will offer a special concierge service for the first time, whereby the courier will bring multiple sizes for the customer to find the perfect fit in the comfort of their own home.

The new online capability has been designed to provide customers with the convenience to shop with M&S in the way they want to – in English or Arabic – with local prices and payment options. Customers will be able to choose from standard delivery, taking two-to-five working days to same day and next delivery options in specific countries.

“We’re proud our customers in the Gulf have grown to know and love M&S. Our new website will give our customers a truly flagship shopping experience with more choice and availability. Its great news that customers will be able to enjoy the convenience of shopping with M&S at anytime and anywhere,” says Stephen Rayfield, managing director of M&S Al-Futtaim.

The move online is in line with M&S’s ‘bricks-and-clicks’ growth strategy for the MENA region across stores and e-commerce, in response to the changing way that consumers shop today. The new website serving customers in five markets in the Gulf complements the brand’s growing international online presence. Internationally M&S now has 11 dedicated local websites, in addition to leading online marketplaces in China, India and Indonesia.
