Saudi-based multi-brand fashion retailer Kamal Osman Jamjoom (KOJ) Group has chosen Oracle retail point-of-service and Oracle retail store inventory management to optimise store operations and improve customer experiences across its 500-plus stores in the region.

KOJ has integrated these Oracle applications with its existing Oracle retail merchandising operations management, Oracle retail merchandise financial planning and Oracle retail warehouse management system solutions to create an enterprise-wide view of the business that ensures its retail operations are optimised to support the group’s performance, growth and customer objectives.

The Oracle retail stores applications deliver a more unified view of operational data, providing the business with improved visibility of inventory levels and item performance, with which it can act quickly to meet store needs and trends to drive sales.

In addition to driving higher levels of customer satisfaction through timely merchandise availability, store associates can access customer profile and purchasing/loyalty history data in real-time to maintain consistent and positive shopping experiences across KOJ’s store portfolio. The latest Oracle deployment extends the group’s strategic relationship with Oracle, which began in 2006 with the selection of Oracle retail and Oracle e-business suite, and has continued to support the group’s expansion across the GCC.

With over 500 stores across six countries, KOJ is one of the best established retail groups in the region, operating 11 brands – some franchised and the rest private labels (two of which, Nayomi and Mikyajy, are highly successful brands) – on the Oracle platform. KOJ implemented the Oracle applications in five months and continues to roll them out across its business.

“This latest addition to our Oracle retail platform takes us closer to achieving our strategic business and customer objectives,” says Thameem Rizvon, CIO, KOJ Group. “The integrated capabilities of the retail solutions deliver significant value by improving the in-store experience of our customers.”

“The KOJ Group has been able to deliver a superior customer experience by building on its existing Oracle Retail foundation to optimise store operations,” adds Mike Webster, senior vice president and GM, Oracle Retail.
