Freedom Pizza turns three

It’s Freedom Pizza’s third birthday, and the home-grown UAE pizza brand is kicking off 2018 with several offers and discounts as part of the celebrations.

Last year was an excellent year for Freedom Pizza. The brand moved into its global HQ offices in Dubai and was selected to be part of Apple Pay’s induction to the UAE, providing customers with yet another convenient and secure way to pay for its wholesome and organic menu items. Additionally, the continuation of its pioneering road safety campaign resulted in a 45% reduction in motorcycle accidents with their drivers over the course of 18 months.

To round off the year with a bang, Freedom Pizza received the ‘Digital Innovation of the Year Award’ at the RetailME Awards 2017 for its proprietary online e-commerce platform. Further, Freedom Pizza signed its first multi-unit franchise agreement and was awarded The Snail of Approval by Slow Food, in recognition of its contribution to quality, authenticity and sustainability.

“It is an honour to be celebrating another fantastic year of Freedom Pizza. I am so proud of everything we have achieved. It would not have been possible without each and every person who makes Freedom Pizza what it is, from our team to our customers. This year, we will continue to look for ways to offer customers even more value for money and of course provide the same great food, super-fast delivery and service,” says Freedom Pizza founder and CEO, Ian Ohan.

The Freedom Pizza app proved to be a favourite among customers over the past year, due to its easy-to-use format when selecting custom-made pizzas, which can be modified to suit vegan and gluten-free dietary requirements. It also provides nutritional information allowing its customers to not only check for allergens, but also view the exact number of calories, protein and sugar for each product. There are, on average, 400 orders placed via the app per day, which is around a massive 150,000 per year.
