Ted Baker opens store at City Centre Mirdif

British fashion brand Ted Baker has opened its newest store at City Centre Mirdif in Dubai. Spanning 1,864 sqft the outlet will house the brand’s SS16 menswear, womenswear and accessories collections.

The inspiration for this bespoke interior derives from the locality of the Tennis Academy and the Al Badia Golf Course nearby, while looking to the heritage of classic British sports such as lawn tennis, croquet, golf, cricket and snooker.

The black steel framed entrance welcomes customers to the store. Above the door, a mix of Astroturf panels, leather stripes and fixed golf balls create a tennis court formation. A suspended screen of shuttlecocks forms a backdrop screen to the window area. Inside the shop space, a circular pattern moulded ceiling overlooks the reclaimed gymnasium flooring.

The cash desk is dressed to look like a vintage score board with wooden panelling and coloured numbers and markers in various positions. Next to this area, a locker style accessories wall, complete with towels and trophies hosts the SS16 hero styles.

Each of the four fitting rooms differ slightly; cricket and golf for menswear and badminton and tennis for women. Locker room style hooks and padded leather benches dress the space and Astroturf panels decorated with golf balls, racquets and shuttlecocks are displayed on the walls.
