Home improvement retail giant eyes regional growth with DIY-first experience tailored for Bahraini consumers.

Al-Futtaim ACE has officially entered the Bahraini market with the launch of its first store in the kingdom of Bahrain, strategically located at City Centre Bahrain. This move marks a key milestone in the retailer’s regional expansion, further strengthening its presence across the GCC.

The new store, which opened its doors on May 26, 2025, brings the ACE brand’s signature blend of premium home improvement products and personalised customer service to a new audience. The Bahrain outlet reinforces ACE’s positioning as a go-to destination for outdoor, garden, DIY, homeware, and appliances.

“We are delighted to introduce the signature Helpful ACE experience to Bahrain’s discerning homeowners and DIY enthusiasts,” said Vinod Jayan, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim. “Our entrance into the Bahraini market reflects our commitment to becoming the region’s most trusted home living brand.”

Additionally, the ACE Bahrain store is designed to be a one-stop solution for home improvement enthusiasts and families alike. From premium outdoor furniture and BBQs from brands like Weber and Broil King, to professional-grade tools from Bosch and Stanley, the store offers a curated assortment that addresses both lifestyle upgrades and practical household needs.

Live plants, custom paint mixing services, and specialised garden tools cater to a growing segment of hobbyist gardeners in the region, while the home appliance range includes top-tier brands such as Samsung, Whirlpool, Hitachi, and Dyson.

The store also offers complimentary delivery and assembly on orders above BD 249.900, a move aimed at elevating the customer experience and service standards in the market.

“We understand that creating the perfect home environment involves more than just quality products – it requires expertise and guidance,” said Ganeshan Raman, Head of Commercial at ACE. “Our helpful and knowledgeable team is here to offer practical solutions & product recommendations, turning your home improvement challenges into successful projects.”

Strategic Retail Expansion

The Bahrain launch adds to Al-Futtaim ACE’s growing footprint, with existing stores across the UAE and Qatar. The retailer is leveraging its legacy of quality and service, rooted in its ‘Helpful’ store certification model, to offer localised shopping experiences that are backed by international best practices.

Al-Futtaim ACE’s entry into Bahrain comes amid rising consumer interest in DIY solutions and outdoor living, driven by post-pandemic lifestyle shifts and a growing appetite for functional yet aspirational home environments.

As competition heats up in the Middle East’s home improvement sector, ACE’s regional strategy emphasises solution-oriented retailing, expert guidance, and an omnichannel service model tailored for modern consumers.
