UAE-based Al Maya Group officially launched an exclusive range of Woolworths products at its supermarket in Dubai.

Australian ambassador to the UAE Heidi Venamore PSM, who was guest of honour at the launch event in Dubai at Al Maya Supermarket, was welcomed by Kamal Vachani, director, Al Maya Group.

Woolworths is Australia’s national brand, and Macro is its largest healthy food brand, available through Macro Wholefoods Market and Macro Organic. The brand’s philosophy is to provide customers with pure, wholesome food that promotes healthy eating.

“It is our privilege for Al Maya Group to welcome ambassador Venamore for the official launch of ‘Macro Wholefoods Market’ and ‘Macro Organic’ brands of Woolworths exclusively at Al Maya supermarkets across the UAE,” says Vachani.

“We are happy and excited to introduce Macro Wholefoods Market and Macro Organic exclusively at our outlets. We will continue to introduce more products from Woolworths,” he adds.

Woolworths and Al Maya Group joined hands last year, and Australia’s national brand has been supplying its range of grocery products on an exclusive basis to the group for more than a year now.

Woolworths, during this time, has supplied Al Maya with around 200 individual SKUs across all grocery categories – including breakfast foods, snack foods, cooking needs, condiments, and canned goods.

“Woolworths products across all grocery categories including breakfast foods, snacks, cooking ingredients, canned goods and cupboard staples are available at all Al Maya outlets across the UAE and are very well accepted,” says Vachani.

Woolworths, founded in 1924, has more than 3,000 stores and employ over 200,000 team members who serve more than 29 million customers across its brands every week.

Dubai headquartered Al Maya, established in 1982, operates supermarkets all over GCC countries, with around 40 outlets in the UAE alone.
