Promoting digital economy in Oman: OEC 2019

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, under the patronage of Dr. Ali Bin Masoud Bin Ali Al Sunaidy has undertaken an initiative to promote digital economy through The Oman eCommerce Conference (OEC).

Scheduled to take place on September 16-17, 2019 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, OEC 2019 will witness more than 10 governments, 500 decision makers, 50 speakers from across the globe, along with 50 exhibitors. In addition,10 workshops are lined up for the conference. OEC 2019 is co-hosted by OMINVEST, which is one of the oldest and largest investment firms in Oman and the MENA region.

“OEC 2019 will be a business festival for e-commerce and digitisation while featuring tried-and-tested inspiring conference sessions, exhibitions and special networking themes, all embedded in an enlivening and captivating event of bright ideas for the future digital commerce,” said Syed Khaleel, director, Inovexic.

OEC 2019 will unravel the story behind e-commerce and the true growth of digital commerce in the world to demonstrate the importance of digital transformation in business and find solutions to overcome the current fragmentation and sustainability questions.

The conference will be driven by a broad range of observing e-commerce communities that rely on providing digital solutions. OEC 2019 aims to bring key stakeholders from the digital ecosystem to better coordinate and align various digitalisation efforts through e-commerce initiatives and work together towards a more collaborative and sustainable economy.
