Union Coop Expands in Dubai with New Nad Al Sheba Branch

May 5, 2025 | By RetailME Bureau

MENA’s retail pioneer Union Coop has further solidified its retail presence in Dubai with the opening of its 28th branch at Nad Al Sheba Mall. This expansion is part of the cooperative’s ongoing strategy to meet the growing demand for convenience and quality shopping in Dubai’s expanding residential areas. The new store’s launch comes at a pivotal time for Dubai’s retail sector, which has experienced sustained growth in 2025.

Commenting on the launch, Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, stated, “The new branch reflects the ongoing evolution of the UAE’s retail sector and is designed to meet shoppers’ needs with a fresh and modern approach. Union Coop follows a clear strategy and ambitious action plan aimed at enhancing its operations and upgrading its branches to align with customer expectations in Dubai.”

Located strategically to serve the residents of Nad Al Sheba 2, 3, and 4, the new Union Coop outlet will provide a seamless shopping experience with a modern design built to international engineering standards. The store aims to deliver on the cooperative’s commitment to convenience, accessibility, and customer satisfaction, especially as the community prepares for an uptick in retail activity driven by the seasonal demand for back-to-school and work-related products.

Union Coop’s timely expansion into Nad Al Sheba is predated by the launch of eight promotional campaigns across Dubai during April, which feature discounts on over 3,000 food and non-food items. This aligns with broader trends in the retail sector, where shopping centres and retailers are stepping up their operational capacities to meet the growing demand for essential products.

The fierce competition in Dubai’s retail landscape drives promotions and enhances service quality, benefiting consumers. The Nad Al Sheba branch aims to stand out by offering an engaging, family-friendly shopping environment with a mix of convenience and entertainment that appeals to Dubai’s diverse community.

As Union Coop continues to expand its footprint across Dubai, the cooperative remains focused on providing innovative solutions and exceptional shopping experiences to meet the evolving needs of the city’s residents.
