US-based casual salad concept Tossed marks its foray across the region with the opening of its first outlet at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi. Tossed is brought to the region by UAE-based ALSA Food Restaurants & Management, part of the Al Sayegh Group.

The opening of the new Tossed outlet at the food court of the Yas Mall is part of a 30-unit franchise development agreement with ALSA Food. This is the first international master development agreement for Tossed Franchise International LLC, known for its diversified menu and modern yet warm minimalist environment.

Among its well-known items are gourmet salads featuring over 50 fresh ingredients and homemade dressings, gourmet wraps, mouthwatering melts, artisanal sandwiches, hot soups and refreshing smoothies.

“We are thrilled to bring the Tossed concept to the region, aimed at fully utilising the capabilities of our commissary. We realise their potential and we will initially focus on regionalisation of some of the cuisines and the ability to serve guests the highest quality custom offerings prepared quickly at an excellent value. We also see an opportunity to position ourselves and Tossed, as the primary go-to, fresh food, fast casual restaurant concept throughout the Gulf states,” says Mansour Al Sayegh, director of ALSA Food Restaurants & Management LLC.

“We look forward to growing with our new partner and will continue to execute our expansion strategy both domestically and internationally, based on our goals of profitability for our franchise partners by delivering amazing food quality, with a warm friendly experience at an excellent value to our guests,” adds A Michael A.T. Toroyan, chief operating officer of Tossed Franchise International LLC.
