Technology must be an enabler

In retail, technology has to take a two-pronged approach to establish a meaningful retailer-customer relationship – by making the shopping experience delightful for consumers, while benefiting retailers in many ways.

Today, the shopping experience acts as a key differentiator for retailers, with technology playing a crucial role in creating that delightful customer experience. The advent of new technologies has transformed retailer-consumer interactions. Communication is no longer limited to traditional avenues during store visits but encompasses social media, SMS, e-mail and such other means that connect retailers to their target audience anytime, anywhere.
