Finland-based radio-frequency identification (RFID) solutions provider Nordic ID has launched a new ultra high frequency (UHF) RFID reader for retail applications such as point-of-sales, information kiosks, smart displays and document tracking.
The compact Nordic ID Stix is designed to work as a flexible UHF RFID reader for interactive read/write applications with adjustable reading range. Other features of the device include USB plug and play, deactivate/kill tag function and easy software integration.
Nordic ID has fine-tuned the RFID reader to be able to read multiple UHF RFID tags at any time, which makes it suitable for point-of-sales applications. The small size and lightweight also allows it to be used aside tablets to ensure comfortable customer experiences in information or feedback kiosks.
