As convenience increasingly becomes currency in the region’s grocery landscape, Union Coop has rolled out a new lever for loyalty, the Union Coop Unlimited, UAE’s first-of-its-kind online delivery subscription service in grocery retail. For AED 25 a month or AED 220 a year, members get unlimited free delivery through the Union Coop app, a small fee for frictionless access to essentials.

At first glance, it’s a simple value-add. But in context, Union Coop Unlimited marks the formal entry of a regional grocery major into the subscription economy and the next chapter in quick commerce competition.

“The program currently provides unlimited free delivery on thousands of product assortments available through the Union Coop app, along with flexible monthly and annual subscription options. This ensures greater convenience, comfort, and a seamless shopping experience for our customers,” said Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop.

Behind the convenience promise lies a strategic calculus. With Dubai’s digital transformation agenda reshaping every corner of retail, Union Coop is codifying loyalty through access, not accumulation. The move transforms delivery from a cost center into a customer retention tool, an infrastructure play disguised as a benefit.

Al Hashemi framed it as part of a broader ambition, “The launch represents a significant step forward in providing innovative digital services that enhance customer satisfaction and quality of life, while supporting Dubai’s vision for smart transformation.”

Moreover, the timing isn’t incidental. Union Coop reports a 34% surge in app orders year-on-year, a signal of shifting consumer behaviour toward immediacy and integration. As online demand accelerates, subscriptions like this turn frequency into familiarity, a direct link between digital touchpoints and household routines.

For Union Coop, Unlimited is not just about removing delivery fees; it’s about installing deeper into daily life. As Dubai’s Q-commerce landscape crowds with aggregators and instant-delivery players, Union Coop’s model anchors digital growth in owned ecosystems rather than third-party dependencies.
