First edition of World Corporate Summit to take place in Dubai

The first edition of the World Corporate Summit (WCS), supported by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) will take place in Dubai from November 21 to December 15, 2022. With sports and multi-sectoral business growth as the theme the summit will be attended by key decision makers from across multinational corporations, major UAE-based companies as well as government institutions to exchange insights and explore collaborative partnerships and opportunities for business growth.

The invite-only event will feature a series of closed-door forums; 100 roundtables across finance, business, media, technology and industry verticals that intertwine the theme of sports; and meetings with leaders of the city’s business and innovation ecosystem. These will offer visiting founders unique insights into current and future business outlook as Dubai continues to build on its status as a global centre of trade and commerce. The itinerary will also offer attendees visits to key business and innovation districts in addition to opportunities to interact with the funding and investment community in the city.

In his presentation at the launch event, WCS president Bernard Caiazzo introduced the World Corporate Summit and VIP World Cup Dubai Program followed by a presentation by Steen Jakobsen of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism on Dubai’s tremendous efforts in supporting business tourism and economic growth in the region following the success of Expo 2020 Dubai.

“The VIP World Cup Dubai Program will bring together decision-makers from the global top 5000 companies, major investment funds, football sponsors, football clubs and leagues to deliberate on pressing universal and sector-specific issues and build partnerships that will shape the future of the global economy,” Caiazzo said.

“Hosting mega-events such as Expo 2020 Dubai and 2022 World Cup in the region not only provides a unique opportunity to drive investment but also allows us to host business leaders to exchange ideas that can bring positive change to the global economy. The World Corporate Summit, I believe, will be a great platform to elevate Dubai’s position as the destination for business and luxury, as well as to create partnerships, enter deals and discuss plans for the future of business,” added Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism.

Indicating the importance of this upcoming event UAE-based retail conglomerate Apparel Group has announced its partnership with the World Corporate Summit 2022 as the official Gold Sponsor.

“As Apparel Group continues to cement and strengthen its position as one of the leading retail conglomerates in the region and globally, we are pleased to announce our strategic partnership with World Corporate Summit (WCS) as a Gold Sponsor. WCS will be a unique platform amongst key regional and global business leaders and government institutions. As Apparel Group, this summit will solidify our contribution to the future of Dubai as it continues to establish itself as a global hub of commerce and trade,” stated Neeraj Teckchandani, CEO of Apparel Group.

“Following the great success of Expo 2020 Dubai, the World Corporate Summit is aligned to the UAE’s objective of economic growth, by bringing global leaders together to share in the passion of football and develop partnerships during the world’s biggest sporting event,” Caiazzo concluded.
