Ras Al Khaimah’s Manar Mall has unveiled major expansion plans set for a complete overhaul of its existing facilities with several new international stores coming up in addition to an enlarged entertainment area, among others.
Work is scheduled to start in less than four weeks, earmarked for completion by the third quarter of 2016. Post-expansion the mall is scheduled to grow to 645,834 sqft by 2016. It currently houses Carrefour, Marks & Spencer, H&M, Paris Gallery, Novo Cinemas and Funcity, while the expansion will see major international fashion brands enter Ras Al Khaimah market as well as some exciting restaurant concepts.
Shopping mall architect Cadiz International has designed the expansion of Manar Mall along with refurbishment of the existing mall. While Al Hamra Real Estate Development that owns and operates Manar Mall has awarded the construction contract, worth around $62.6 million, for the expansion of Manar Mall to Sun Engineering & Contractors, which will see the mall’s total leasable area double. Following the expansion, the net leasable area at Manar Mall will increase from 322,917-to- 645,834 sqft.
