With leisure and entertainment being one of the major components within any mall today, the Palm Mall in Mabela has decided to have in place a 2.1-million litre Oman aquarium with hundreds of sharks, rays and a myriad variety of fish from the Sea of Oman.
The $25 million oceanarium will be spread over two floors across 91493 sqft of the mall and will showcase Oman’s reef life and coastline inhabitants, including some desert dwelling animals.
Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2017, visitors will able to walk through a number of underwater viewing tunnels, come face-to-face with marine life and see how penguins and turtles interact with each other.
