Norwegian fashion retailer Varner-Gruppen AS has selected Nedap – manufacturer of intelligent technological solutions for relevant themes – as its new technology partner to lower shrinkage in its retail stores.

The retailer has 1,500 stores in eight European countries for a range of fashion brands. Varner will implement Nedap’s electronic article surveillance (EAS) solution, including RF antennas at the exits of stores, POS solutions and consumables.

“Lowering the shrinkage levels in our retail stores is one of the key focus areas for us. We believe that Nedap is the right partner for us to make sure that our high-risk merchandise is optimally secured today and in the future,” states Robert Granath, head of loss prevention at Varner.

“We are delighted to partner with Varner to lower their shrinkage levels. We are looking forward to work closely together with our international partner network to ensure that Varner quickly reaps the benefits of our solutions,” adds Jean-Paul Papen, key account manager at Nedap.

Nedap’s offering also paves the way to a growth path towards RFID, connectivity and source tagging, which can deliver additional benefits in relation to stock availability, real-time insights and cost savings.
