Nakheel hosted a group of Dubai’s largest Chinese traders to acknowledge their key role in Dragon Mart’s successful past, present and future and explore ways to further collaborate at the famous retail and trading hub.
The event, led by Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah, followed the official opening earlier this week of Dragon Mart 2, Nakheel’s 2.1 million sqft extension to the original Dragon Mart complex.
“Dragon Mart has gone from strength-to-strength since opening in 2004, thanks to the commitment and dedication of our retail partners. The opening of Dragon Mart 2 highlights the undisputed success of this vibrant business hub, which is now welcoming 120,000 people every day,” says Lootah.
“Our Dragon Mart expansion continues as we embark on the creation of Dragon City, a sprawling mixed-use community with malls, hotels, homes and more. Dragon City is already fully leased, highlighting the hunger among Chinese traders to be part of this exciting project. We look forward to turning Dragon City from concept to reality, further celebrating with our Chinese partners as key milestones are reached.”
