Mohamad El Sabawi joins Joud Mall, Doha

Mohamad El Sabawi has been appointed mall director of Joud Mall, an upcoming shopping and lifestyle family destinations in Doha, Qatar. The 688,000 sqft Joud Mall will house over 135 retail units, 10 anchor tenants, six-screen multiplex cinema, two food courts, 30 F&B and casual dining units and other services.

El Sabawi, who holds a Bachelor of Commerce from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, Montreal – Canada, has over 12 years of experience in real estate and retail, which he hopes to utilise in strengthening the position of Joud Mall that will house an extensive mix of retail, hospitality, commercial and medical facilities under one roof.

El Sabawai says that his primary attention would be to accommodate a wide range of retail, food and beverage, entertainment and services to attract the surrounding community and visitors. Beyond his general management responsibilities, he will take on several roles in terms of the property as a whole – encompassing business planning, administration and management, with focus on setting measurable goals for future growth.

Prior to joining Joud Mall, El Sabawi managed several properties (both retail and commercial), including Wahat Hili Mall in Al Ain, The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai, Al Bustan Centre in Kuwait and Le Ruisseau Supermarket in Montreal, Canada.
