“Our web store crossed AED5 million in sales by February 2019 and at the same rate we are looking forward to a figure of AED30 Million in sales by 2019 end, nearly twice compared to the AED15.8 million sales of 2018,” said Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO, Union Coop. “Today, the web store offers premier facilities like same day/next day delivery for fresh and frozen groceries all over Dubai.”

Union Coop is also deploying cutting-edge technology to offer a next-generation shopping experience to consumers shopping online. “In order to reach consumers better, we have collaborated with renowned digital channels and marketplaces such as – SOUQ.com, Elgrocer.com, Instashop.ae, Dukkaani, noon.com. We also use social and digital media channels to promote our products and online store. In addition to a dedicated smart application,” Al Falasi added.

“One can expect more changes and updates in the future to the web store as we have to keep up with the changing technology to make the customer experience even better. We plan to expand our exclusive online promotion campaigns to cover an expected number of 60,000 SKUs by the end of 2019. Furthermore, expand the home delivery service to reach Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah,” he stated.

“We are working to develop a dynamic marketplace to let suppliers participate in the e-commerce business and enable them to list only genuine and authentic items. We encourage more online marketplaces to associate themselves with Union Coop so that together we are able to offer the best-in-class e-commerce and home delivery solutions to our valued customers,” concluded Al Falasi.
