In September 2019, the shopping experience at The Galleria, Al Maryah Island – Abu Dhabi’s luxury and fine dining destination – is about to get broader and bigger.

In line with Al Maryah Island’s positioning as a business and lifestyle destination, The Galleria will transform into a super-regional mall, creating a dynamic lifestyle hub for the evolving Abu Dhabi community by Gulf Related and Mubadala Real Estate and Infrastructure (MREI), the real estate arm of Mubadala Investment Company.

The unrivalled dining and luxury collection includes 130 of the world’s most acclaimed luxury brands, with new openings in 2019 including Chanel, Valentino and Piaget. Looking ahead to September 2019, The Galleria will add over 300 new retail brands, including 250,000 sqft of entertainment and over 70 new dining options to the integrated project.

More than 400 speciality stores, including flagship stores from retailers like Zara, H&M, lululemon and Sephora, will cater to all consumer tastes. Exciting new entertainment options, including a flagship Xtreme Zone together with urban rooftop parks will ensure there is something for all ages. Unique dining options, such as first-to-the-region culinary concept Central Kitchens, will deliver a carefully curated collection of the most exciting food and beverage offerings in Abu Dhabi.

“The anticipation is building as the mall nears completion and we prepare to open our doors in September. Our vision has always been to curate a mix of best-in-class venues, fashion, food, home and entertainment. As an Abu Dhabi based developer, we are excited to share our vision with our city and welcome everyone to their new mall,” says Daniel Parry, managing didrector, Gulf Related.

“Before we opened The Galleria, we started working on its expansion with Gulf Related to create something unique for Abu Dhabi. Our vision was to create new experiences for everyone, every day. Building upon the resounding success of The Galleria over the last six years, the expansion represents the future of retail, namely, a place to connect with people and to create experiences. Upon opening, visitors will appreciate a unique offering that truly brings the Abu Dhabi community together. The incredible mix that has been carefully selected will ensure there is something for everyone,” adds Ali Eid Al-Mheiri, executive director of the real estate and infrastructure, Mubadala.

The Galleria aims to redefine retail, dining and entertainment in the region offering high-street brands such as a flagship 35,000 sqft. Zara, H&M and first-to-Abu Dhabi brands such as Missguided, complementing the existing mix of luxury boutiques such as Dior, Gucci, Cartier and Louis Vuitton.

The retail offering will be complemented by an internationally renowned selection of culinary experiences, from Central Kitchens to the premium waterfront Dining Collection. There will be pioneering entertainment options such as a 21-screen VOX cinema with IMAX and 4D technology along with beautifully landscaped outdoor parks.
