Mercato unveils a new glass atrium

Mercato – an Italian themed community mall in Dubai – has unveiled a new glass skylight atrium, which has been incorporated within the Porto Vecchio area of the mall with cobblestone paths to enhance customer experience and ambience.

The area has been redesigned with a skylight roof to allow for maximum natural sunlight, similar to Mercato’s existing main atrium. The new feature spans 4,300 sqft and comprises more than 200 panes of UV and heat resistant glass.

“For more than a decade, visitors have flocked to Mercato to experience its unique architectural design, iconic main atrium and unrivalled ambience and we want to further improve and enhance this overall experience. After all, Mercato isn’t just about shopping, dining and entertainment, it’s about the complete leisure experience, which is what keeps bringing visitors back to the mall again and again. I am confident that our iconic new glass atrium will add a new surprising wow factor to the Mercato experience,” says Nisreen Boustani, PR & corporate communications manager, Mercato & Town Centre.

In addition, Mercato has also announced the opening of several new stores and outlets over the coming months. In recent months, H&M, Zara Home, Aura, Leem, Hair Garage, Lifetime Kidsrooms and The Weave Factory.
