UAE-based retail major Lulu Group will generate 600 jobs for Bahrainis by the end of 2016. This was announced at a ceremony to honour Lulu Group managing director Yusuffali MA with “Wessam Al Bahrain” – Medal of Bahrain – Order of the King – for his contribution in the Kingdom’s economy. The group currently employs over 1,000 Bahrainis across its hypermarkets and malls in the Kingdom.

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain presented the Kingdom’s top honour to Ali for his contribution to the progress of the Kingdom at the royal palace in Manama as part of the National Day celebrations. This is the first time in country’s history that a non-Bahraini has been conferred with the medal.

With strong presence in the Kingdom, Lulu Group has aligned business plans and economic inputs to reflect the vision of the leadership of Bahrain. Lulu group runs a chain of hypermarkets in Yemen and India too.
