Japanese restaurant Katsuya by Starck has opened at Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel, a new waterfront location in Madinat Jumeirah.
A full-service, upscale casual restaurant, Katsuya boasts an extraordinary Japanese dining experience, distinguished by a team of highly creative chefs – including master chef Katsuya Uechi – design impresario Philippe Starck and premier mixologists who pride themselves in delivering a unique experience each time.
Diners embark on a unique culinary journey at Katsuya by Starck with specialty cocktails, delectable Robata grills, unique rolls and spectacular sushi and sashimi platters – Chef Uechi skillfully translating Japanese flavours for the American palate.
In addition, the restaurant has stunning sea views of the Burj Al Arab. Guests can choose to be seated outdoors, adjacent to the one-of-a-kind Turtle Lagoon, indoors at the sushi bar or in the ultra-modern bar and restaurant area.
The interiors of the restaurant are sophisticated yet comfortable, featuring a large, family-style dining area with gleaming white tables and warm cozy couches. The walls are adorned with oversized backlit photographs of a Japanese Geisha, which add a whimsical visual note to the dining experience. Starck’s aesthetic merges the aspirational with the approachable, creating a trendy and inviting atmosphere.
“We’re proud of Katsuya’s longevity as a brand and our ability to enhance our portfolio on an international scale,” states Sam Nazarian, founder and CEO of hospitality group sbe. “With the success of the Katsuya openings in Kuwait at Avenues Mall and Arabella, it was a natural decision to continue to grow our footprint in the Middle East. We’re excited to enter Dubai’s influential dining scene.”
