Dubai-based footwear brand, King’s has announced the launch of its second store at Gate Avenue, located in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Following the success of its first store in Bur Dubai, the 135-sqft DIFC store offers a complete range of customised shoes.

“We are delighted to introduce our legacy and craftsmanship of over five decades at our second store in Dubai. It is a significant achievement for us and underlines the importance of Dubai for King’s. We have seen a great demand for customisation of shoes that reflect the persona and style of our customers. Our qualified craftsmen work with the finest products to design shoes that are meticulously designed bringing it at the forefront of the newest trends. It has been our constant effort to enhance customer experience at our stores with superior merchandise, service and the overall international shopping ambience that King’s has to offer. With our experience of almost more than five decades, King’s is always looking forward to enter new markets and explore further opportunities,” said Nilesh Karani, CEO, King’s. “The new store complements every aspect of your lifestyle – whether at work, at leisure or social gatherings and offers an entirely new collection of custom men’s Goodyear Welt, men’s sasual range of sneakers, ladies dress and slipper shoes and plethora of Patina choices for trendy and affluent youth.”

The made to order section on King’s website has been launched to provide a 3D experience in the customisation process. The customisation process starts with shoe model selection from men’s dress, casual, slipper and ladies dress and slipper models.

The new store offers lace-ups in Oxford and Derby’s to the more sophisticated monk-straps, loafers, sneakers and chukka and Chelsea boots. An interactive 3D interface allows the shoe to be moved around and customise every part of the shoe using mouse or touch on the tablet. Customer has the choice of customising materials from box leather, painted leather, pebbled leather, suede and other sartorial textiles in plaid print, linen and velvet. More options in sole range and toe decoration are available for customisation.

A custom shoe typically takes 4-6 weeks in the making as it is especially handmade by the cobblers in Europe who have been passed the shoemaking skills down a generation. Additionally, the store will have luxury and premium socks, belts, pocket squares, handkerchiefs and shirts in the coming months.
