Emirates Cooperative Society – one of the UAE’s leading grocery chains of supermarkets and hypermarkets – have announced expansion plans with the launch of its new-look community supermarket ‘Market Street’. It is located near the fish roundabout at Al Muteena, Deira in Dubai. The store is operational and currently offering attractive deals.

The chairman of Emirates Co-operative Society, Ali Mohammed Balrahif and board director Sultan Ahmed Khalfan Al Ghaith inaugurated the store today (October 25), which features a brand-new look.

Spanning 8,000-sqft, the ‘Market Street’ is inspired from a traditional market place, which is a centrally located area. The design and layout – created by created by 5ivedesign – of the supermarket is unique, akin to walking through a street and visiting individual shops for fruit & vegetables, deli, meat, fish, groceries, household essentials and more.

Commenting on the new concept store ‘Market Street’, Mohammed Yousuf Al Khaja, general manager of Emirates Co-operative Society, says, “We made intense changes as you approach the centrally located supermarket at Al Muteena. These changes are made after an in-depth feedback from our existing customers. We aspire for our stores to be at the heart of local life, bringing communities together and offering great value products and services to our customers at affordable prices.”

“During the first week of our soft launch we received an overwhelming response from our customers. They loved the easy access for their everyday essentials and because of the convenience they visited us more often than their previous supermarket,” adds Sajjad Azees, marketing manager, Emirates Co-operative Society. “We are currently offering special discounts to all our customers and further discounts to our existing Mazaya members. For the grand opening we are offering a massive promotion for three days, wherein we have dropped our prices to almost 50% on most of the products we are carrying.”

Through ‘Market Street’, Emirates Cooperative Society has created a brand that offers everything under one roof. And the strengths of Market Street are affordability, value offers and a wide product range.
