Dubai-based Borders of Al Maya Group has been awarded the Superbrands status for 2014 by the Superbrands Council, the independent brand arbiter.
The Superbrands status is assigned to a company or brand based on market dominance, quality, customer satisfaction, trust, longevity, accounting practices, goodwill, customer loyalty and market acceptance.
The Superbrands organisation, which began in 1994, analyses the history and strength of different brands over 40 countries and is universally commended for being an arbiter of branding excellence.
The Superbrands citation acknowledges Borders of Al Maya Group as a household name in the UAE. Borders is a one-stop shop for everyone, with books that are powerful and literally inspiring.
Borders opened its first store in 2006 and offers a wide range of books, stationary, toys and games.
“It is an honour to receive Superbrands status and I am sure this will certainly give impetus to further enhance our service and expand reach” says Kamal Vachani, director, Al Maya Group.
