Al Fajer launches sourcing fair in Mexico

UAE-based exhibition organiser Al Fajer Information and Services and the Mexican National Association of Supermarkets and Department Stores (ANTAD) have announced a strategic partnership to launch MEGA Sourcing Fair (MSF), a new specialised show to be held in Mexico in March 2015.

Targeted at importers, volume buyers and purchasing managers who aim to source directly from competitive and quality suppliers from all over the world, the new show will be showcasing home products, household and home electronics, fashion accessories and beauty products.

“The local sector is steadily gaining attention from international organisations, thus boosting the Emirate’s position on the global front. The new show will focus on helping companies to source their products globally, which is the process of identifying, developing, and utilising the best source of supply, regardless of location,” says Satish Khanna, general Manager of Al Fajer Information & Services.

“We have chosen to partner with a company based in the UAE because of the potential we see in this country and the great attention it is gaining worldwide. Al Fajer is an ideal partner for such a show thanks to their 28 years of experience in the UAE. We have chosen Mexico to launch this show because it is the seventh largest economy in the world and the eleventh in purchasing power. The country is also ranked eleventh on the global ranking of population size, with a population of over 113.7 million,” adds Manuel Alvarez, convention manager, ANTAD.
