UAE-based, home-grown beauty brand Huda Beauty recently launched its Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palettes on Alibaba Group’s e-commerce arm, Tmall Global, which “sold out entirely in just one second last week.” According to Tmall, “more than 300,000 people visited Huda Beauty’s flagship store on its opening day last Wednesday.”

Owned by Huda Kattan, Huda Beauty made some of its most popular products available on Tmall, including eyeshadow palettes, liquid lipsticks, foundations, blush and the brand’s popular false eyelashes. Huda Beauty plans eventually to make its full range available on Tmall.

On her part, Kattan has said that Huda Beauty’s partnership with Tmall is one-of-its-kind, facilitated by technology and therein offering a novel experience.
