French supermarket chain Grandiose opened its seventh store in the UAE at Dubai Silicon Oasis. The theme of the latest store opening is ‘Your Festive Supermarket’, as visitors can expect a range of activities, offers and incentives built around the festive season.
Commenting on the opening, Fabrice Le Boulenger, general manager of Grandiose, said, “Grandiose is delighted to bring its eco-friendly premium grocery model to Dubai Silicon Oasis and we look forward to becoming a part of this vibrant community. We’ve been accelerating our store opening programme in recent months as consumers respond positively to our offering, which allows them to buy high-quality grocery products, but without excessive amounts of packaging and waste.”
Grandiose has embraced sustainability in every aspect of its operations. Single-use plastic bags have been removed from checkout counters and customers are encouraged to use long-life reusable alternatives instead. Grandiose uses non-plastic cutlery in its ‘grab and go’ section and the company has been making waves with its REFILL area, which allows customers to fill their own containers with produce sold through serve yourself dispensers.
In addition, Grandiose is expanding rapidly as consumers embrace its pioneering grocery model. This latest store closely follows openings in Jumeirah, The Dubai Mall and Grove Village, Ras Al Khaimah.
