Union Coop announces mega discounts on 10,000 products ahead of Ramadan

Dubai-based food & grocery retailer Union Coop has launched its discount campaign with price reduction on more than 10,000 basic food and non-food products during the holy month of Ramadan.

Commenting on the campaign that started on February 24 will continue till the end of Ramadan 2023, Eng. Abdulla Mohammad Rafie Al Dallal, Managing Director, Union Coop said, “We are pleased to launch our Ramadan promotional campaign for the year 2023 which will include discounts on a large number of basic and most consumed items by the public, whether food or non-food products. These offers and discounts will be launched in all branches and on its online store and Smart App periodically during the Ramadan campaign, all commodities, including food and beverages, electronics and household appliances, are included to meet the increasing demand throughout the month of Ramadan.”

He added that this campaign includes seven promotions in which the percentages of discounts range between 60% and 75%.

Beyond the Ramadan campaign

Union Coop has been working towards bringing the ‘hypermarket experience’ to the consumer’s home in the smartest way possible and plans to do it through ‘The Union Coop Perfect Store’. It is an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered virtual reality stimulation in the metaverse that will allow consumers to enjoy the real Union Coop experience virtually within the comfort of their homes. In addition, through its Smart App Union Coop released several updates enhancing the online shopping experience.

For perspective, besides operating over 24 stores Union Coop has a robust online presence with 275,600 registered users, offering 87,000 SKUs, recording over 7,530,784 visits and facilitating 26,800 monthly deliveries.

While in line with the directives of the Executive Council of Dubai to implement initiatives aimed at preserving environmental sustainability and changing the behaviour of excessive plastic usage Union Coop limited the use of single-use plastic bags from July 2022.
