Majid Al Futtaim has underlined its commitment to sustainability and creating unique shopping experiences for its customers and mall visitors by  partnering up with the leading marketplace for buying & selling preloved luxury items, The Luxury Closet.

Launching on the 26th December The Luxury Closet kiosk will be located at City Centre Mirdif’s central galleria. The Luxury Closet will enable luxury lovers to sell their pre-loved luxury items and, in exchange, receive cash back in the form of mall gift cards. Proud owners looking to sell their luxury items can either visit The Luxury Closet kiosk in person at City Centre Mirdif, or register themselves on The Luxury Closet app or website (Theluxurycloset.com/MAF).

The Luxury Closet allows luxury lovers to sell their items with ease from over 100+ high-end brands that include: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Burberry and Fendi; in addition to Dior, Hermes, Valentino, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo and Jimmy Choo.

“At City Centre Mirdif, we always aim to offer our customers elevated shopping experiences that are as satisfying as they are creative and wholly unique. We understand that convenience is a priority for modern consumers and know that in order for us to create more great moments for our customers and communities to enjoy, our offerings must reflect their preferences. That is precisely why we have launched this partnership with The Luxury Closet. We urge all luxury lovers to visit us and make the most of the new outlet”, said a Majid Al Futtaim spokesperson.

”Every system needs to be rethought with a focus on how to reduce its environmental impact. Consumers buy more clothes than in the past decade , but keep each garment half as long. However, consumers are also becoming more sustainability-conscious. Partnering up with Majid Al Futtaim by encouraging sellers to turn their unwanted pieces into mall gift cards  has made it possible to make adoption of a more sustainable fashion easier ”, said Kunal Kapoor

Sellers who opt to visit The Luxury Closet kiosk in person at the mall will be ably assisted by a trained concierge. The concierge will be on-hand to help prospective sellers create an online profile on The Luxury Closet app or website and then conduct a preliminary quality check to assess the condition and state of the item(s) the customer is looking to sell. Following this, the customer will then be given a payout range for their item, in addition some selected brands and items will be eligible for instant pricing.
