Dubai Shopping Festival: TunesDXB festival begins this weekend

The first weekend of the year will begin with some music and entertainment with Dubai Shopping Festival’s inaugural TunesDXB festival. With free live music and entertainment planned for 11 different locations across the city, the main stage of the event will be hosted at La Mer from 7-9 January 2022, and to find out more about what to expect from various locations, check out the places below.

La Mer

Dubai’s popular beachside food hub will host the main stage of the festival. Local talent will have a chance to shine, with a series of live concerts and DJ sets planned over the weekend. Music fans will also be able to enjoy different themed nights, with Filipino and western music on 7 January, Indian entertainment on 8 January and a soulful Arabic night on 9 January. Alongside excellent performances from Peter Roselita, Chris Ishak, Arqam and more, visitors can enjoy delicious dishes and pop up shops at the laidback beachside location.

Nakheel Mall Rooftop

The newest glamorous shopping hub to open on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, Nakheel Mall Rooftop will also host a pop up event series as part of the weekend festival. Expect performances from Aman Sheriff, Jay Abo, As Per Casper and Reazon along with delectable bites and fun for all the family.

Al Khawaneej Walk

The popular food truck spot will be another location for the TunesDXB events. There’s no better reason to drive out of the city, and enjoy one of the many open air food trucks and listen to the sound of lively beats from Leone Murphy, Masha, Ramzinho, Gilded Chambers and Martyne Crocke over the three-day festival weekend.

DIFC

Dubai’s well-heeled financial district will also be taking part in TunesDXB with performances from Jose, Adam, and Dina Stars and more over the festival weekend. While in the area, be sure to take advantage of the incredible food spots and art on display in the area as well as the Dubai Lights installation – City Gazing Dubai, by the artists Justus Bruns and Mingus Vogel, with a unique composition of music, setting an atmospheric scene.

The Pointe

This Palm Jumeirah hotspot offers 360-degree views of the incredible Atlantis, The Palm landmark. Lined with some of the best restaurants in the city, visitors will be able to enjoy hourly fountain shows alongside the live music from Laporte, Ray and Hosny, As Per Casper and more during the three-day festival.

Deira City Centre  

In the heart of old Dubai, Deira City Centre will offer live music and entertainment from Benny, Masha, Inas and Mohamad Chamdin and more throughout the three-day festival. Expect plenty of delectable pop up foodie options on hand at the music event too. While you’re in the area, why not take a stroll around one of the older quarters in the city, for a different perspective on Dubai.

The Beach, opposite JBR

Fun for all the family can be found at The Beach, opposite JBR over the TunesDXB weekend. Expect shows and entertainment from NM1, Jay Abo, Dina Stars, Benny and more. There will also be fun pop up shops and food spots throughout the area.

City Walk

The city’s leading outdoor mall will be packed full of fun and entertainment over the three day festival. There will be performances from Endenojie, Laporte, Leone Murphy and more along with pop up stalls, entertainment, and of course the hub’s leading shops and restaurants.

Mirdif City Centre

Family-fun, entertainment and shopping will all be on hand at Mirdif City Centre for the first-ever TunesDXB. There will be excellent music every day over the event with popular local talent Inas, Justin, Lucas, Benny, Mohamad Chamdin, Gilded Chambers and more performing.

Bluewaters

Situated on one of the only man-made islands in the world, Bluewaters is one of the newest shopping and entertainment hubs in Dubai. TunesDXB visitors can enjoy music from Reazon, Rony Sakris, Dina Stars, Edenojie and more, along with delightful pop ups, entertainment for all and excellent shopping opportunities.
