Owing to the growing demand for electronic items among travellers, Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport has added electronics as a new product segment as part of the Delhi Duty Free (DDF) along with other categories including liquor and tobacco, perfumes and cosmetics, fashion and confectionary, among others. DDF claims that the electronic products that will be available at the IGI Airport will be up to 15% cheaper compared to the domestic market.

Spread over 900 sqft at the arrivals, the store will stock international brands across product categories including computer accessories, LED televisions (TVs) and accessories, cameras, personal accessories, audio accessories and mobile accessories, among others. In the next few months, mobile phones and tablets will also be added to the product portfolio.

Some of the brands under each product category includes Samsung, Sony and Philips in TV; Hama in TV accessories; Canon, Nikon and Panasonic in cameras; Braun, Remington and Russell Hobbs in personal accessories; SanDisk and Verbatim in computer accessories; JBL and Gear 4 in audio accessories; and Ferrari in mobile accessories.
