According to Dubai Customs, last year the emirate’s perfume and cosmetics foreign trade touched the AED20.5 billion-mark.
Perfumes topped the beauty products traded through Dubai, accounting for AED5.9 billion, while toiletries contributed AED3.2 billion, followed by deodorants at AED1.2 billion and creams at AED1 billion.
Among Dubai’s top trading partners were France valued at AED3 billion, followed by the US (AED1.8 billion), Saudi Arabia (AED1.6 billion) and the UK and Italy with AED1.1 billion and AED1 billion, respectively, revealed Nassim Al Maheiri, manager of statistics and studies at the Dubai Customs.
