Logistics company, DHL Express has partnered with Lebanese fashion designer Mikhail Chamoun, in a unique collaboration that showcases DHL’s role in connecting people through fashion. DHL was the official logistics partner for the Arab Fashion Week that ran from April 24-28, 2019.

Chamoun, who has worked on Project Runway, unveiled an exclusive collection made from DHL’s packaging material. Titled the ‘Capsule Collection’, it will inspire and encourage people to think about how e-commerce is making fashion accessible to all.

“I am delighted to launch three capsule collections in collaboration with DHL Express – a couture collection representing the world and an avantgarde collection. It is every designer’s dream to create something that connects people, and it is a wonderful coincidence that I have the chance to do this through an amazing collaboration with DHL, which is known for connecting people around the world,” said Chamoun.

The growth of e-commerce is brightening the outlook for many young fashion designers and entrepreneurs around the region. DHL plays an important role in serving the fashion industry with their fast-paced service regardless of the distance. For the rapidly growing e-commerce market, DHL has introduced a variety of innovative services which are being developed to meet needs that are beneficial to e-commerce businesses and end customers.

“The Arab Fashion Week is a fantastic platform to showcase established and upcoming fashion entrepreneurs in the region and we are delighted to partner with them in a unique initiative through celebrated fashion designer Mikhail Chamoun. Mikhail’s work in the fashion industry has been quite phenomenal, and we want to shine the spotlight on how DHL connects people through fashion,” added Geoff Walsh, UAE country manager for DHL Express.
