Having acquired the franchise rights for the Turkish fashion brand, Dubai-based Apparel Group is set to launch the first LC Waikiki store in the UAE at Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi.

“We are proud to enter the UAE Market, with Apparel Group. The brand is becoming much more international by adding new countries to its operations. Currently we are operating in 20 countries with very promising results. Entering the UAE market is an important milestone for us. If we call the world ‘a store’, the UAE would be the ‘shopwindow’,” says Yenal Gökyıldırım, LC Waikiki’s international retail managing director.

LC Waikiki now has more than 450 stores globally, including Romania, Egypt, Bulgaria, Morocco, Poland and Russia in addition to its domestic outlets. It is now looking to expand within the Middle East. Plans also include launching stores in other markets such as Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar.
