Al Seef introduces new retail, F&B offerings

September 4, 2018 | By RetailME Bureau

Al Seef, the bustling waterfront destination by Meraas, situated along the picturesque Dubai Creek, has opened 27 stores and 11 eateries in 2018, bringing its total number of open outlets to 69. The new offering includes innovative retail and dining brands that contribute to the lively atmosphere of the location and create a unique experience for guests to enjoy.

Visitors to Al Seef can now sample flavours from around the world. Among F&B newcomers are the lavish restaurant KHOFO that offers diners the opportunity to taste authentic Egyptian dishes in a pharaoh-inspired setting, the Italian eatery Piadara with its light summer salads and ‘make your own wheat pasta’, the popular seafood joint Kim’s Singapore Seafood and the international eatery Sirocco.

Meanwhile, Al Fanar Restaurant and Café serves authentic Emirati cuisine in an ambience evocative of Dubai in the 1960’s. Arabic food connoisseurs will also welcome the arrival of Haleeb O Heil, a renowned purveyor of traditional Kuwaiti cuisine. For coffee breaks and indulgent desserts, shoppers can drop by Afters, Jelly Belly Ice Cream or Al Rayeh Cafe, or try out some creative flavours of beverages at Booba. Those in the mood for a quick and affordable bite will feel right at home at Yum Yum Tree, which is home to three popular restaurants, Al Mangal Express, Pad Thai and Vanellis.

The new additions to Al Seef’s retail landscape include Caliente, an Emirati brand specialising in high-end trucker caps and eclectic clothes, and I Love Dubai, the ultimate destination for souvenirs and gifts. Shoppers can also head to Samsung for the latest electronics, Jawhara for iconic diamond and gemstone jewellery, Sneakers Paris for trendy footwear and Saray Perfumes for traditional fragrances and ouds. Spice enthusiasts can take their pick from a wide range of aromatic home-grown and imported spices and herbs at Zafarana, a traditional souk-inspired market.

Adding to its ever-growing portfolio of experiential offerings, Al Seef is also set to become home to the Museum of Illusions. Housing 80 exhibits of all shapes and sizes, designed to play tricks on the human brain, the UAE’s first branch of the international museum chain will tantalise visitors with a unique visual and sensory experience. The destination’s flagship attraction will open doors on September 12.
