Dubai-based retail conglomerate, Al-Futtaim has announced the opening of several F&B brands at its soon-to-open community lifestyle mall, Festival Plaza in Dubai South in December. The F&B brands will offer multiple cuisines including American, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Turkish and Italian. The mall will also be home to the region’s first Grain of Salt, a unique contemporary dining restaurant.

The Grain of Salt menu will boast popular dishes from Arabic, Asian, Indian and Continental cuisines and will offer an exemplary culinary experience with its vibrant live cooking stations. Customers can enjoy delicious Arabic grills, Asian woks and scrumptious Indian fare whilst dining in the elegant restaurant. Another first-time dining concept will be the new IKEA café, which will serve customers freshly baked Swedish goods and all-time favourite local products.

Amongst the 40 cafés and restaurants available across the mall, the 500-seat food court will be home to 13 global food chains such as Popeye’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, Hardee’s, New York Fries and Baskin Robbins. Customers can enjoy a cup of coffee from a mix of home-grown and international brands such as Café Nero, Tim Hortons, Filli Café and Jamaica Blue, while quenching their sweet tooth at Dunkin Donuts, Movenpick Ice Cream or Cinnabon. Several casual dining options will also be available in the mall including Peppermill, Sumo Sushi, Leopold’s of London, Sapori, Zaatar W Zeit, Sultan Baba Iskender, Famous Dave’s, Smoking Doll, Grain of Salt, Denny’s, Tony Roma’s and much more.

The Jelly Belly ice-cream parlour promises to take customers on an adventurous flavoursome journey with more than 50 flavours including some Jelly Belly trademarks and exotic limited flavours.

Lulu Hypermarket at Festival Plaza will have a new layout with a big emphasis on food with over 85% of the space allocated to grocery food and fresh foods.

“We have always been very particular about selecting the best brands in the industry to be part of our developments and this will continue with the launch of this project. Festival Plaza will focus on the best customer experience across leisure, lifestyle and entertainment. The latest food and beverage offerings we have announced reflect the customer demand we have seen as we continue to deliver on our promise to respond to the changing needs of our visitors. We are on track for opening in December and you can expect many more announcements to come,” says Timothy Earnest, group director of Al-Futtaim Malls.
