Abu Dhabi-based Aldar Properties PJSC has announced that with over 70% of its 100 retail units occupied and operational, Al Falah is emerging as a major community destination, and one of the most sought after national housing developments within the UAE capital.

Developed by Aldar Properties, Al Falah is a housing initiative by the Abu Dhabi government for the UAE nationals made up of six villages including a total of 5,817 villas. Designed to cater to the Emirati lifestyle while also meeting sustainability standards, each village has its own school, market square and mosque, adhering to Aldar’s vision of creating fully-functioning communities.

Central to the community, Al Falah’s retail offering features household brands such as Spinney’s, Spar, Al Maya Supermarket, Choithrams; food and beverage outlets like Starbucks, Shakespeare Café, Pizzaro, Karam Beirut and Pizzaway; and local beauty brands Bedashing, Tips and Toes & Ibn Sina pharmacy.

“Al Falah is a thriving community offering quality living experience to its residents. In developing this community, we are delivering our vision to provide a holistic lifestyle with every home. We identified rapid growth in the popularity of housing positioned around community-retail and therefore we are working towards answering this demand,” says Jassem Saleh Busaibe, chief asset management officer, Aldar Properties.

The master plan for Al Falah, as with all Aldar communities, places the community at its heart and retail is an integral component. Each village is arranged around a neighbourhood centre that contains a landscaped market square including a mix of local shops and amenities, all aligned to meet the needs of the residential community. To ensure convenience for residents, these facilities are strategically placed within a 10-minute walk from all villas.
