Hotbrands International (HBI) has opened three of its popular quick service restaurants (QSR) at Dragon Mart 2, the new extension of the sprawling retail hub in Dubai.

The Shamiana restaurant serves Indian cuisine and was recently nominated for the Most Admired Retailer of the Year (QSR) at the Images RetailME Awards, while Santino’s serves authentic Italian pizzas and pastas and Magic Wok offers Chinese cuisine.

The HBI outlets at Dragon Mart are part of the ongoing expansion of the UAE-based food services company, which specialises in multi-ethnic food concepts that cater to the tastes of a cosmopolitan customer base in the country.

“HBI has taken another step towards consolidating its market leadership in the multi-ethnic food segment by opening three of our famous QSRs at Dragon Mart. Our restaurants offer unique food experiences to residents and visitors from around the world and it will be no different at Dragon Mart, which is a microcosm of Dubai and its people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Our new outlets at Dragon Mart will allow the mall’s customers to savour our specialty ethnic dishes and also offer fresh dining-out choices for residents living in the neighbourhood communities of International City,” says HBI spokesperson Prabhakar Singh.

HBI opened its first outlet in Dubai 23 years ago and has grown to more than 50 outlets in the GCC, India and the US. It is particularly well-known for its QSR format, which currently includes Shamiana (Indian cuisine), Magic Wok (Chinese), Santino’s (Italian), Sala Thai (Thai) and Sugoi! (Japanese). These outlets reflect the flavours and cultures of the countries they represent. Its casual dining restaurant concept features Haru, which serves Japanese Robatayaki cuisine. HBI has also opened its first fast casual restaurant concept, Wok Chi, which serves Chinese cuisine, in the US.
