Dubai Festival City Mall announces winners of Kidz Starz
The Dubai festival City Mall has announced the winners of its children’s talent show, Kidz Starz. Taara Shenali Perera (13) from Sri Lanka, Hashwata Sathish (6) from India and Ian Cris Tocle (10) from the Philippines won the singing, dancing and music categories respectively.
Anoushka Gaur (12) from India was also honoured with the Fan’s Choice Award.
A total of 15 finalists competed during the third and final phase of the event following two weekends of auditions and semi-finals during which a total of 40 children from six to 15 performed their acts for a place in the grand finale.
“Congratulations to all the children who participated in this event. Kidz Starz is a family-oriented event and its main aim is to offer a platform where children can express their preferred art form,” says Kris Fade, Virgin Radio host, who was on the judging committee.
